How do I sign up for a self-storage space at one of your Perth locations? 

The process for signing up for one of our storage units in Perth is very easy.  
You will need to: 

• Read our Privacy Disclosure Statement  
• Provide a photo ID which our team will copy  
• Complete our storage agreement form 
• Pay one month of storage as well as a deposit (if applicable)  

You can move your goods into your storage space at Koala, once all the paperwork is completed and payment is made.

Do your storage units have drive-up access?

Yes, Koala Storage does have secure drive-up storage solutions. As the name suggests, drive-up access is a storage option that allows you to drive your car, truck or van right up to the storage unit. This is a great option for both domestic and commercial customers as it allows you to park your vehicle right next to your storage unit, making it convenient to load and unload items into your storage unit.

What type and size of storage unit do I need? 

At Koala Self Storage, we have storage units of many different types and sizes available – whether it be for your car, home contents or commercial needs, you will find a storage unit to suit you. To help you find the perfect storage solution, we have a designated display area showcasing what our self-storage units look like and how you can best use the space. You can visit our storage unit display area anytime during our office hours 7 days a week. Koala Self Storage O’Connor also has extra storage spaces that can store large vehicles, boats and caravans, as well as a climate-controlled storage area. 

Are my goods secure at Koala Self Storage? 

At Koala, we do everything within our power to ensure the security of your goods while they are being stored at one of our storage units in Perth.  All clients have their own individual gate access code and place their own padlock on their unit, so they know they are the only ones with access to their hired storage unit. We have also installed 24hr digitally recorded camera surveillance, infrared security beams, razor wire and monitored screens for extra protection. For added peace of mind, you can also insure your domestic goods stored at Koala (conditions apply). 

What is the minimum storage period? 

The minimum storage period for one of our units in Perth is one (1) month – there is no maximum storage timeframe, so long as you keep remitting your monthly rent, you can stay as long as you like, making Koala storage a great long term storage option in Perth.

What days is Koala Self Storage open? 

Our storage units in Perth are open seven days a week. We are only closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and Good Friday. Our boat storage area in O’Connor is accessible all 365 days of the year so you can get out on the water all year round. 

Are your trailers free? 

Yes, our trailer hire is complimentary and free to use. You can book a trailer anytime you are moving goods in or out of your storage unit. Please see us at one of our Perth locations to make a booking.

Can I access my storage unit on WA public holidays?

You can access your storage unit on all WA public holidays except for Christmas Day Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and Good Friday. There is strictly ‘NO’ access to our grounds or offices on these days.  
 
For all other public holidays normal gate access applies to our storage. Please note that the boat storage area at Koala Self Storage O’Connor is open 365 days a year.
